Custom Virtual Classroom for Key Users
Virtual classroom training sessions are instructor-led and delivered over the internet. Approximately 12 users can attend each of these sessions, which normally incorporate short lecture style delivery, interspersed with “hands-on” exercises all based around your application(s) and business processes. Students participate at their desks individually using a headset connected to the session over the Internet.

What is the Duration?
Virtual Classroom sessions can last for between 2½ - 4 hours and a full day of training. Sessions with a smaller duration can form part of a longer stream of sessions held on consecutive days at the same time.
What is Virtual Classroom Training?
Attending a virtual classroom training session is just like a traditional classroom session, except that students participate from their desks or home office rather than travelling to a training venue. Students can watch the instructor present slides and demonstrations and, even though they will not be in the same room as other attendees, they’ll still be able to ask questions and discuss topics with the group. Once understanding of a topic has been established, students get the chance to use the software for real in our hands-on labs, and if they need any help, the instructor can join them in the lab to provide assistance. Sessions have no more than 12 attendees and are very interactive – there’s no time to snooze or check email during the session as students will be busy all the time!
Sessions are scheduled based on time zones so there may be users from several different countries in the same session. There are normally two breaks of 10 minutes during each four hour class. Our new Virtual Classroom technology provides a near traditional classroom experience over the internet from a student’s own desk without the costs associated with travel, accommodation, facilities and hardware of a traditional classroom session.
What do students need to do before the session?
Before their first session students are asked to perform a short test to ensure that they can join the virtual classroom session from your office or home office location. The sessions use WebEx Training Centre technology and students will need to install the WebEx client and have Adobe Flash installed on their PCs.
How is the Audio Delivered?
Audio can be delivered via conference call or via VOIP through the PC, but a headset will be required with a microphone to allow students to listen and ask questions. Students are normally asked to download and print a copy of the workbook that will be used for the training. This contains all hands-on workshops that they’ll be undertaking during the session.
What happens in the Virtual Classroom session?
Students need to join the session at the appropriate time. You can see below the clock and the countdown to the session start.

Here you can see the instructor presenting some content. The pane on the right hand side is used to communicate with the instructor or to raise your hand to ask a question over the audio connection. Students can see the instructor during the Virtual Classroom sessions which makes the content more compelling.

The instructor checks understanding throughout the session, with regular quiz questions. This provides an opportunity to review any content where the learning objectives have not been achieved.
In the Virtual Classroom, students have a regular opportunity to get hands-on with the real software to work through exercises using the printed materials for guidance. The instructor monitors the students during the workshops and can join a hands-on lab to provide assistance if required.

Each session contains presentation and demonstration by the instructor but, for the majority of the time, students will be answering questions and experimenting with the real software, just as they would in the traditional physical classroom.
Advantages
Users gain a clear understanding about the project as a whole, the purpose of the software and a “hands-on” appreciation of the recommended procedures for the tasks that they will be undertaking - without leaving their desk. This offers significant savings in terms of travel and accommodation and provides the minimum level of disruption to the users’ day-to-day function within the business. Virtual Classroom can be scheduled on a regular basis, ideal to capture new starters within an instructor-led environment.
