This Blackbelt course is designed for advanced HFM System Administrators and Implementation Consultants with a solid understanding of developing rules within HFM. 

Broaden your ability to write efficient and effective VB code, get the latest recommendations, tips and tricks for best practice to reduce syntax errors with more effective debugging. Learn how to write debug information to a web-based database accessible from within HFM. Find out how to use functions across dimensions for restatements, reducing the need for additional scenarios and learn new methodologies for the calculation of DSO.

This course explores the use of data dictionaries as an alternative to arrays for reduced maintenance and more efficient and faster processing. The use of UD fields is also covered to exploit HFM metatadata and hierarchies to control calculation functions, removing hard coding and shifting the maintenance out of rules and into the existing dimensionality and functionality of the application. Attendees will also learn how to store calculation date and time data against an entity that is accessible from within Smart View.
