DRM: Data Relationship Management
DRM - Hyperion Data Relationship Management
As companies grow and evolve, it becomes essential to manage master data across information silos that result from mergers and acquisitions, departmental initiatives, or legacy system proliferation.
Data consistency, integrity, quality and accuracy suffer. And, no one trusts the information and insight that ensues. Oracle Hyperion Data Relationship Management, (previously known as Hyperion Master Data Management) provides enterprises with a solution to build consistency within master data assets despite endless changes within the underlying transactional and analytical systems.
Oracle’s Hyperion EPM Architect (EPMA) uses a Dimension Library and Application Library to manage metatdata hierarchies within Hyperion applications. This should not be confused with using Hyperion Data Relationship Management (DRM) to manage master data. DRM is a much more powerful enterprise application than EPM Architect. For most companies that have implemented a variety of Hyperion software solutions, such as Hyperion Planning and HFM, there are many advantages in implementing DRM to manage master data. However, EPMA and DRM can be viewed as complementary solutions as there is a great deal of synergy between the products.

We are now scheduling both the DRM Administrator and our new combined EPMA and LCM Admin courses in a three-day block to enable System Administrators to gain an understanding of both solutions.
