Gain an understanding of the features and capabilities of Hyperion Planning and its relationship with Essbase. Design data forms, generate task lists, create calculations and gain an understanding of the planning cycle. Attendees will also learn to create basic management reports with Financial Reporting and ad hoc queries with SmartView.

Topics include:  workspace navigation, data forms, entering and adjusting data in Hyperion Planning and SmartView, offline planning, business rules, the Budget Review Cycle, task lists and basic reporting.  In SmartView you will explore connection manager, member selection and using data forms for entering, calculating and processing data. You will also analyse data using the ad hoc features such as pivot, drill-down, keep only and remove only.
