FDM can be used to tighten your business process by improving auditing and governance capabilities. Typically FDM is used as a simple data load tool, an essential activity that adds little additional value to the reporting process itself. However, with the right know-how, FDM can be configured to provide a seamless and secure link between HFM and the ledgers. FDM has access to both sets of data and is an ideal vehicle for reconciling any differences quickly and easily in Excel or PDF format. Users should be confident that when they export their data to HFM it is validated, calculated, consolidated and translated at the same time.
