For example: if on a previous visit you went to our custom education pages, we might find this out from your cookie and highlight customised offerings on subsequent visits to Keyteach.com.
What is a Cookie? Essentially, cookies make use of user-specific information transmitted by the Web server onto the user's computer so that the information might be available for later access. In most cases, not only does the storage of personal information into a cookie go unnoticed, so does access to it. Web servers automatically gain access to relevant cookies whenever the user establishes a connection to them, usually in the form of Web requests.A cookie is a tiny amount of text based data, which often includes an anonymous identifier that is sent to your browser from a website and is stored on your hard drive. Each website can send its own cookie to your browser if your browser's preferences are set up to allow this. Your browser only permits access to cookies for a specific website and will not allow access to cookies sent to you by other sites.Cookies record information about your online preferences. Users have the opportunity to set their computers to accept all cookies, to notify them when a cookie is issued, or not to receive cookies at any time. The last of these, of course, means that certain services cannot be provided to a user and you therefore may not be able to take full advantage of all aspects of a web site. As every browser deals with this in a different way, users should check the "Help" section within the browser to find out how to modify cookie preferences. For further details about cookies and information about how to remove them from your PC, please visit http://www.aboutcookies.org.
In addition to the standard cookies outlined above Keyteach.com also uses Adobe Flash Local Shared Objects ("LSO" or "Flash Cookies") as a way of remembering user information within our web order forms. Unlike standard cookies these LSOs cannot be located from within your browser. Standard HTTP cookies save no more than 4KB of data, whilst the LSO cookies can save up to 100 KB and deleting cookies will not remove LBO or "Flash Cookies".To check your computer for Flash cookies and find out how to delete them you should visit the Flash Player Settings Manager page of the Adobe website. The Storage Settings display all LBOs ("Flash cookies") that are currently saved on your computer. You can delete flash cookies from individual sites or all at once. It is also possible to increase or decrease the Kilobyte size of all information that are stored on your computer. Adobe does not have access to the settings that you see in the Settings Manager or to personal information on your computer.Use of Personal InformationWhen you supply any personal data to Keyteach.com, we will collect the data in a way that explains how we will use it and we will let you know why we are requesting the information.Information you provide to Keyteach will be used by Keyteach and its service providers only.
